This is a wild guess, but looks kind of like a stink bug.

It appears to be an order hemiptera from class insecta.
Some of these are predatory and can bite quite hard. Would be easier if we could see the whole body.

Looks like some sort of Shield bug to me, Does its body shell taper like a shield does?
Not too sure but it looks like it might have picked up a couple of parasites/ticks as there are a couple of small red dots on it

For sure a stink bug. Southern translation of the latin name stated above.
Step on in and you will find out why its called that.
