Both of them were were difficult to catch still ! The girl especially hated the camera, Settled down only for her breakfast !!
I am newbie so any comments on these pics are very welcome.

Both are cute :) The background in #1 is a bit distracting.

Good potential and super-cute kids. First shot is blurry. Second shot the right side of her face and gown is blown out. Background looks totally out of place. She should be out in a garden or something.

Thanks for your comments guys. It really helps if someone gives guidance tips.
Well in both the cases there was no flexibiltity in composing the shots. First one was shot indoors
while second one in a train.
I will try to get something better based on your suggestions & then submit.
Cheers

For candid snapshots they're fine, but these are not photos to frame and hang. A flash would have helped some. It's an ever learning process. You have some beautiful subjects there and the potential is great.

Thank you Jim. These are the kind of comments I am looking far. As I mentioned earlier, I am newbie to Photography/ digital photography. This pics are from the first batch ever where I tired to play with manual controls & get a feel of controls like White Balance, ISO, Shutter speed, aperture & depth of field. These were the practise shots but i fully understand that although controlling camera is definately required, abiltity to visualize & composing a shot is equally important. Since I dont have any exposure to this at the moment, I have picked up a book "50 fast digital camera techniques" which demonstrates some of the traditional composing ways.
I guess this is the way to start with.
If you have any other suggestions please let me know. I will definately try to benefit from them.

Many thanks

Just keep reading and shooting and reading and reading and shooting. Sure there are classes you can take, but practical experience will take you a long way. Doesn't that camera have a flash?

G3 has a flash, inbuilt one. It is not that powerful & occassionaly creates red eye also. But may work good for fill flash effect.
I usually keep flash off & try to compensate by slow shutter or high ISO.
Is this recommended ?
