Hello everyone,
The Honorable Louis J. Robichaud, C.P., C. C., O.N.B., Q.C., 1925-2005
Commander of the Legion of Honor
Former Premier of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada
On Tuesday January 11, 2005 I had the opportunity to attend the funeral services of this great man at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assomption in the City of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. A google search of his name will certainly reveal many pages of his many accomplishments. His nickname was "Little Louis" and he was a great politician and a fighter for the little guy.
The funeral was attended by Canada's "Who's Who" of both the political and business world including The Honorable Paul Martin, the Prime Minister of Canada.
Security was very tight and I was asked at the door not to take photos. I did however manage to get a few discrete shots and I present them reduced in size but unaltered.
I have for a long time been photographing historical events in my area. If you were to recommend one photo that I will include in my historical gallery which one would you choose?
The photos were all taken with a digital rebel 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 Canon kit lens. I did have the benefit of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation lights as this event was broadcast nationally on TV.
These photos mean a lot to me as I was a great admirer of LJR.
