I was very pleased with the outcome of this shoot, I've not posted here in awhile as I just don't shoot bands much anymore. Now don't get me wrong I enjoy the heck out of it but between the magazine, the studio, weddings, and playing hockey on Saturday nights shooting bands unless they really pay well just take a back seat.

Here is a set I finished up this week, I'll post the collage once we get it done. I actually took the studio setup to the show and shot individual shots for a different approach to the band promo shot... hopefully we will get it done in the next couple of weeks.

Some of these have a few more "tilt" than I normally do, I shoot these guys once every 3 months so they can have current stuff. I shot it a little different at this gig just because they have quite a bit of stuff from me.

Nice set. #8 works very well with the tilt. I don't care for #6 at all ... it's all OOF and the guys face looks like blobs. Good promo stuff!

Nice set. Raw conversion could be better; LR blues in some of them.
I do like the idea of #6, motion blur and all (at least; that's what I think I see), but the hand is too blown out for my liking.

Thanks Rene,

The blues don't look over done to me...but of course I'm color blind so you never know. I tried not to change much of the stage lighting as I wanted the set to have a wide range of color as this band likes lots of color and "happy" images as it fits the type of performance.

They are not the "all serious I just look like I killed someone" kinda band.

What Rene is getting at is that you can see the blues "blocking up" in 5 and 7, and in the disco ball in 8, which is pretty typical with ACR and blue concert lighting.

Nice shots btw. 3 is pretty funny and I really like #7 personally.

Love the colours and composition works for me. Very well done.
