G9 movies & card size?

I understand the G9 can take movies, but how long can the movie clips be?

What size card would be best, and how large card will it accept?

I did a little bit of experimentation with a loner G9, and I was able to get about 26minutes of film on a 2GB card. That was at 640x480. If I remember right, I got about 17 minutes per 2GB at 1040 (High Res).

I hope there's a way to decrease the image quality (file size) without decreasing the image size (dimensions), because there's no way you should need a 2GB file for a half-hour 640x480 movie.

You could decrease it in a separate program after the fact, but that doesn't remove the limitation of your SD card size...
