I've noticed a lot of people has rented lenses before. For those of you that do, where do you go to do so? I'd love to rent myself some good pieces of glass to try out before I buy. Thanks in advance :)

I'd check for pro photo supply outlets via the internet or yellow pages. In my area there's a store conveniently called "Pro Photo Supply" that sells equipment and supplies, as well as renting a wide variety of equipment, including lenses. I can rent a $1,200 lens for $50 for the weekend in some cases.

So Cal doesn't mean much; but Georges Camera in San Diego rents lenses.

www.georgescamera.com (http://www.georgescamera.com) The rental link is down; but their website is different than it was last week; so maybe they are working on it as I type...

As a side note; you can rent some sweet lenses for way > than 100 per day. I think I'm gonna do it soon and go to the San Diego river and get sone wild bird shots...

Try Pro Photo Connection in Irvine. The *****es own the store and are a great family to do business with. While you are there, check out the Long Skinny Picture Company work on the walls.
