87 views and no response?

You will always find a much higher number of views than responses - a lot of it is to do with guests viewing who are unable to post and often you get members who either don't feel qualified to comment or sometimes don't see anything specific to comment on. This is not a criticism of either your photo's or the membership of the forum - it's just a fact of life. For example, I've been lurking a bit in this forum, trying to develop a feeling for urban but haven't been posting which I need to correct.

With regard to your shots:

#1 doesn't really grab me I'm afraid. It's a great sky but the silhouette *I* find very dominant and I can't make out what the two lights are there for. Personally, I'd rather see a little bit of the detail in the building.

#2 is nice. A good contrast in the warm light inside and the cold blue light outside. It draws you down the corridor to the doors at the end with the focal point of the red light. It makes me wonder where it is leading and whether I should follow it.

Of course, these are just my opinions ;)

i know that there will always be more views than responses but i am just looking for anyones thoughts, qualified or not. sorry if i came across as impatient, i was just really happy with this pictures and was excited to see what other peoples thoughts were.

in regards to the first one, i was really on the fence about PP-ing out the white dots (which were 2 lamps by the door). the reason i silhouetted the building so much was because the top of the building had big letters. i was afraid it would draw attention away from the sky.

anyone else wants to edit it up the way u think it should look is more than welcome!
thanks for the feedback.

LOL it's often the way - the shots you like the best are the ones that seem to drop into a black hole... I've had that happen to me more than once.

I can understand your dilemma around the building and as I say, those were jut *my* opinions - I'm sure there will be other opinions out there. And, of course, I don't really know what you had to deal with there , either.

I love the second one. Maybe it's just because of the blue, but to me it feels like an underwater tunnel for some kind of sub-marine complex.

... OK so maybe it's because of the blue and my overactive imagination ;)

haha imagination is the backbone of art so theres no shame in yours being over active! :]

I like the second one better, as I find it more interesting. The color combination and the reflections off the glass are pleasing. With shots like this though, it would help to be perfectly symmetrical bilaterally, perhaps a bit of cropping and using the Transform tool will do the trick. Now if there were a person in the photo, to add scale and human drama, this would be really outstanding.

The first one is a bit tilted by the way. Thanks for sharing, welcome to the forum!
