View Full Version : D30 rebate problem

Just bought a D30 at end of June. It came with an Canon 1-year extended warranty. Both warranty regristration and Microdrive/battery rebate requires me sending the original warranty card. So I sent the orginal card to warranty regristration and a copy to the rebate (plus a letter explaining the situation). Guess what, my rebate request is still rejected because of the warranty card.

What should I do to convince them to accept the copy? Do you know if my original warranty card will be returned once they process my extended warranty - in time before the rebate expired?

Thanks in advanced.

It took about 6-7 WEEKS for Canon to send my MD & battery. About a week later they DID return my warranty card.

I'm still waiting on a rebate on a lens.

I wonder if the lack of response caused Greendice to go away.

Possibly--with Canon's slow rebate processing 8 years seems about right.

Did nikon even have something close to it? right around that time the d1 was out but definitely not under 3k

I think that there were a couple D1s. The D100 didn't come out until 2002/2003 I think.
