WORLD WIDE PHOTO WEEK: PART 122 -- Leaves

The theme for this week is "Leaves." Interpret this any way you like, as different and unusual interpretations are always welcome.

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Crummy shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. Wide variety.

Those white flowers look like what I call "Dastardly Daisies."
Around here they are weed that grows everywhere.
I battle them every year.

Were these photos taken in 2007? ??? as you have it saying it was © in 2007 which doesn't seem to fit in with between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday of July 2008 rule :)

Tater -- It took me a while to get that.:o Beet greens, right?

Puggle -- Nice effect with the water.

Joayne -- Nice lighting for both. The second one reminds me of those wicker or cane chairs with the high, rounded backs.


Today I picked up one of these to keep the Japanese beetles away from some of our leaves. This is the first one we've ever had. Fascinating. (But then I'm easily amused.) The bag is filling quickly.

Very nice takes on the leaves topic! Once again I find myself on the same wavelength as Barbara...

We get those lovely beetles every year. Nasty little buggers if you ask me.

I also like the recreation theme!

Funny thing, though, the shrubs and trees always bounce right back when the beetles subside.

Not sure what type of plant, came across it in a planter on a Terrassein Old Montreal while shooting Saturday morning.
Was with daniertr and he said come back later and you'll find it in your salad.
Good choice of theme for this week will try and find some time to get some shots in.
