Becareful not to put your face to close to your monitor.. Someone might get their eye poked out by her purse! I shot these clandestine style with the s500 at the side of hips.

As long as you're in San Fran, why not shoot something outrageous? lol
Interesting hobby you have.

you seem to have a really cool hobby... I love the shots I've seen you post so far and wish I could do the same- but I just can't bring myself to just walk around and deliberately take pictures of people... too much awkwardness on my part, but props to you for being able to do it :)

This hobby of mine has became an addiction. It is very awkward in the begininning. But if you do it enough.. it would become normal. I mean, the worst thing that can happen is the subject smiling back at you. I've got many more people pictures I would like to share with you folks. Mostly its the not so pretty side under the cover of San Francisco's beautiful streets. Sometimes I get a subject like this one here. Seems like she's from out of this world.

Why dreaming..? It only takes a little time to get the aiming part right. This type of photography the subject will always be very natural. Unlike with the view finder, the subject will not know. Very candid. Recently I'm trying to use dslr and almost 80 percent of the time the subject will end up waving at me. HAhaaa

Five years ago I would have said HUH? also, but for the last five one of my very good friends is a "Bird" from London. I've since been educated and tutored. I even know I'm a "Tank".

According to me you let some great oppertunities pass by. Why not, after taking the candids, ask the girl if you can take some more shots of her.
And anyway, give her a card with your name and address. That way the girls will not think you are one of those...
