The keeper managed to get the bird to stoop at us, rise again and hover for a few seconds before attacking the lure.

Sorry about the crap crop but I only have the use of one arm so cant adjust zoom while looking through the viewfinder.

1dMkII, 70-200 f4L @87mm, shutter priority, spot metering,
1/640 sec., f4.5 ISO 400

This is one of those shots that just jumps out at you. Brilliant job.

It would be really cool if you could clone out the leather on its legs so that you couldn't tell that this was a trained bird.

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

Marie, a couple of years ago I was attacked and got hit on the head with a hammer!!
This caused brain damage similar to a stroke, so now I have a paralysed left arm and a weak left leg. SH*T HAPPENS.
