I would like to invest in a smaller point and shoot camera and want to know what camera works best. Price is not a deal breaker.

1. I want something small and compact enough to carry in my pocket or small
pouch.

2. I want a camera with high mega pixel for sharp details and images.

3. I will use camera to shoot mostly indoors.

4. I want camera with video recording capabilities for sharp quality above
480 x 640.

5. I want camera with large and clear LCD screen to view images.

Which camera works best for my needs and why?

I have a G9 and my girlfriend has a sd950is. I prefer the G9 because of the feel and manual controls. The SD950 is a lot smaller though.

Do you prefer the G9 because of manual control or image quality? Which camera produce better images?

I'd go the Canon S5 IS instead.. it's supposed to have superior video features over both and still has a hot shoe

I like to play with the manual settings. I am basically trying to learn a little bit and the sd950 has no learning curve involved- really just point and shoot. I haven't compared IQ but probably should. I will do so with both in auto.
