I like the shot but think it has too much contrast.

I hate selective color too, but different strokes for different folks... It is well done though.

Actually i really like the selective color in this image.. However, i agree with the above poster that the picture has too much contrast. You loose the detail in the two women.

it's a good captured moment, particularly the sharing of the umbrella as it contradicts their clothes....summer shower or sun protection? However as commented, the strong contrast is a bit much and I usually like that in an image. I am also not a fan of selective colour, it rarely looks good and i don't think it suits this image.
