Well, this was my first shot of the moon, and when I say my first shot I literally mean my first shot. I took a whole bunch at different settings, and this first shot was my best one in my opinion.

The settings were:

Nikon D70 (Please dont flame me...!)
Sigma 170-500mm APO
F11
1/50
Focal length 500mm

and manual focus.

This is a Canon forum only!!! No Nikon and Sigma allowed!!!

I'm just kidding. Nice moon photo. I see you took this picture in South Korea. It was a clear night here in the southeastern USA and I saw the same moon while out jogging last night. I thought about setting up my camera and tripod, but I got busy and forgot. Glad you got this picture of the same object only taken from the other side of the planet.

I'm new to this sort of photography also ( i.e. no expert ) but I think you did a fine job on the last shot.

P.S. I see the Canon Powershot A80 is in your gear list, so you haven't gone over to the dark side completely. ;)

hahaha, yes I love my A80.

Thanks for the comment. I just wish the D70 had a ISO 100 setting. It only goes down to ISO 200.
