I took this with my new Digital Rebel. I was at the San Diego Zoo, with natural light. I have not done any post processing except to change the size of the picture. Any comments would be appreciated....

this shot is really good, the title should be " in thoughts "
really good moment caught by you :)
the only thing i feel which would have made this photo excellent is no shadow on the eyes (Can't tell chimp to pose) , see if you remove it by doing some post processing
(i don't have any idea about Post Processing)

Good start. Sharpen it a bit & do something about the bright areas to his right & left.

Good shot.
I would crop in a little to get rid of some of the washed out areas, then dodge and burn, using masks, layers, blending etc. to get some more detail in the dark area, like around the eyes, and to lessen the aperrance of the light spots to the left and right.
