aperture stuck on s200

My s200 is broken - the aperture is stuck open - so it takes pictures okay in low light but not at all in bright light. Does anybody know of a possible quick fix? Canon says they'll fix it for $250 or $275 - I forget exactly.
Are there repair manuals somewhere online?
