Good Afternoon From Japan -
Each time I resize in Picture It to get to the 150kb limit, the resulting photo when posted is small and not so crisp. I see a 1024 X 1024 limit, but when I resize to that, it exceeds the 150kb limit, and attachment is rejected for being too large. Can you walk me through how to post the largest photo/best resolution photo (I have PS Elements 6 also) for posting a photo on the forum? Better to save to TIFF? I see some spectacular photos here and am embarrassed that I can't figure out how to get mine posted with the same size/resolution.
Incredible thanks,
John (Shooting mostly JPEG Large Fine & Occasionally in combination with RAW on the 5D)

I bought some software for commercial uses a while ago, completly freeware for non-commercial use. You can resize, add text, rename, watermark ect. thousands of photos in a decent amount of time. I usually use this software to resize photos to 640x480 to post here.
You can find it here (http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm)
edit: note it doesn't overwrite the original file(s)

I have PS Elements too, and I am very very new to this so I may be taking the long route in doing this. But I open up in the organizer, click on a pic, choose one of the edits, like say full edit. That opens up a window where you can make any adjustments you want. From there you click on open image, than go into file at the top of screen and choose save for web. That will open a window where you can resize your photo. Hope that helps! And if there is a short cut to all that please let me know someone!! :D

Does your program have a 'save for web' option?
Usually with that you can alter the quality of the photo down to an acceptable file size.
Otherwise the other option is to host the file at somewhere like imageshack.us so you can use your resized shot no matter the file size.

Thanks - Here is a photo, resized to 640X437 using Picture It. It is only 88kb, smaller than the 1024X1024/150kb limit that can be posted here. The one below it is at 800 at largest and 125kb, getting close to the 150kb limit. Do these look acceptable in size/resolution? These are JPEG, straight from the camera, only resized. Thanks. Resizing from TIFF seems more complicated.
Any suggestions?
