I just purchased a Canon SD500 camera and was wondering if anyone had some feedback for me?

The sales person told me the battery needs to be upgraded since it only last 30 minutes . I don't know if I should trust him on that since he was winking to at me to purchase a 2 hour battery for an additional $75.

Also waning to know what kind of swapable media card this camera takes?

Thanks for any info.

The salesman is a con man. My S400, which is essentially the same camera has a battery life of 2 hours or more. Batteries for these can be found on the internet for £10.00 or $20.00. I just changed to an SD300 and have a spare for an S400/500 which is brand new.

They take compactflash cards & you'll get approx 1 image per 2 megabytes at superfine/large.ie, 256 images on a 512mb card. I have a spare 512mb card too.(Lexus 12x)

You can have the battery & card for $60.00 + postage!

Fantastic camera, by the way, you'll love it.
