I went to Oulton Park on Saturday for qualifying and for the first time ever the forecast was spot on, as you can see!

Fortunately it cleared up in time for the "Roll for Pole".

Great shots mate - the one of Shakey on one wheel is awesome.
I was at Oulton this weekend too and experienced the lovely English weather on Saturday! :)
My efforts don't match yours but I'll post a few up later.

Nice shot of Shakey on the back wheel, exiting Druids?
I was up there too on Saturday, but didn't catch any as good as these. Well done.
Cheers!

Superb shots
I love the lighting and reflection in #1 and of course the shot of Shakey is a great catch
I'm sure it's at the top of Clay hill, Glenn

Yes, I am with BigAnt, 1 and 2 do it for me, but an excellent variety of shots. I really like the background colour of the flowers in 3.
I guess the Shakey shot was taken uder the bridge on the way up to Druids? Great capture.

Thanks for all the positive comments, I'm glad you like the shots.
It was my first time back at Oulton Park for a lot of years and even though the circuit has changed a lot and it hissed down I thoroughly enjoyed it.
the shot of Shakey is a great catch

The shot of "Shakey" was indeed at the top of Clay Hill.
Towards the end of the day I went to Lodge but the sun blew all the highlights out of my shots, so I put this one through "PhotoMatix" (http://www.hdrsoft.com/), what do you think?

Once again thanks for the comments and I look forward to Cadwell Park.

Hey Stuart, very nice pics! How are you finding the lens?
Don't know whether you had chance to view the business card i gave you when you came round, but I've finally got www.trackd.co.uk up and running. Only been up live for 1 day and had some awesome feedback. Hopefully some of the local photographers will get involved too with their shots.
cheers

Judging by the feedback I'd say the 300mm was one of my better investments, Gary.
Your Croft website is looking great apart from one thing...................................... no bike images on the header! ;)

great set of shots is the lens a recent buy as noticed you didnt use it at donni for gp. I hired it for that weekend as was lookingat the sigma 100-300f4 but couldnt find one to hire .it was my first time trying motosport got a few pics that i liked but also missed allot. So came away thinking it didnt cut the mustard and i need the 120-300f2.8. shots i took were on a 30D but now after seeing your pics i kind a think it was operator error.
Cheers shane

Can I ask what shutter speeds you were using for these? Or even better can you post the exif? These shots are stunning!
