I need to pick up some sensor cleaning gear this week,a nd cannot decide whether or not I should get some pec swabs and eclipse fluid, or the visible dust fluid/swabs and brush?
The pec stuff seems rather expensive, especially when I can get a brush + cleaner for just over $100. The brush doesn't have to be replaced and seems like a great solution as long as it works.
Does anyone have any personal experience with the visible dust gear?

I've used cotton swabs and lens cleaner for years now.

Everything I read said to avoid cotton swabs like the plague?
I got somepec pads and eclipse for $10. Cleaned the main sensor, but there is a ton of crud in the corners, how can you get them clean with a regular old cotton swab?

Go with the Copperhillimages' sensor cleaning kit. After several test run, 99% of the dust is gone.
And after another several sucess cleaning, you can get 99.9999% clean (nothing in this earth is 100% clean.
I am quite stupid, because up till now I still can't figure out that when dust shows up on the upper right corner of a picture then actually in which corner the dust should be on the sensor:
- Lower right corner, or
- Lower left corner?

Corner and edge is tough, simply because the sensor chamber is so small and the swab is not 100% perfect shape.
Don't use cotton swab, because some fine cotton may get caught and stay between the fine gab of the low pass filter and the chamber.

Well, you read this on the Internet, so it must be true!
If the cotton swab leaves a cotton fiber behind, it is huge, and it can be plucked off easily.
If you have your camera in a horizontal orientation pointed upward with the lens off, then get a very bright light straight overhead. You can easily see the crud on the sensor, and you can see where the swab is going, and you can see a fiber. It's simple.
