Ixus 500

I just bought a canon ixus 500 and really wanted it for close up work but now Iv'e got it It doesn't seem to focus on anything close its always blurred any thoughts please I would be grateful....Roger

have you put it into macro mode? [the little flower symbol]
how close are you getting? It will only go _so_ close.

Hi thank for replying...I can aim the camera from about 8" away and its still blurred...

Have you put the camera into "macro" mode?

your camera should be able to deal with the 8" distance you were talking about... make sure that your'e getting a focus lock too.
If you post specifics, or a sample image, witht he EXIF info too, then we can try to help a bit more.
