A lot of interesting faces (if you could call them that! :p) there, sorry I couldn't be apart of it but I have been working some stupid hours (75+ a week) and have now come down with a bad cold... :(
My vote went to Dan as his photo was clearly the most powerful photo. The shadows over the glassy eyes speak much louder than words...

On a totally different, but perhaps lighter note..
Who in their right mind voted for me....the night I took that, my first self portrait, I had been at the South Coast Winter Swimming Championships at Wollongong, as I am President of the local Winter Swimming Club, competed in 5 races, in the 14 degree pool, attended the presentation lunch...imbibed in the obligatory dozen schooies plus, plus the stubbies on the way home on the team bus..stumble in home, scratch the lady and kiss the budgie, have some dinner..AARRGHH remember photo bloody golf..get out camera fall about and try not to shoot myself in the foot ( so to speak)

Thanks Shane. That's the effect I was going for... some sense of isolation, loss, despair. I dunno, I was pretty messed up at the time. I know I look a little teary there but I think my eyes were just watering because of the dry air from the heater sitting next to me. The resize just made it more obvious but I thought it added to the overall effect of the picture so I left it as-is. I turned all the lights off and used an LED flashlight to illuminate my face (or part thereof)
I made a consolation vote to Clarence who obviously put some time into it (or into growing stubble anyway) but hasn't picked up any votes thus far ;)
