This person will try to make whatever design candle holder you wish on the spot as you wait. He charges anywhere from three dollars to twenty. All he uses is a copper tube I've seen at Grand Auto Parts store. Its only six bucks for like ten feet!

it'd be even better if you were able to zoom in (or maybe provide a high-res crop?) of the candle holders... I'd be interested to see what he comes up with.

wow, those look awesome! I'd definitely have to stop by and purchase a few of those off him, and would love to see him craft one right there in front of me.

Good to see Him making candle holders as opposed to holding a sign out on a street corner, and you just gave Him free advertisement. :D

Market Street is the place to be. It has alot of people and alot of things going on. Next time you come make sure you stick around there for a little.

LOL... Yes yes I did give him some free advertisement. And I'm happy to do it for him. Very talented guy. There is this one other guy I shot who does things with metal spoons!!! I can't find the pic anywhere now but when i find it you all will be amazed. He just collects as many metal spoons as he can from God knows where... Find little things he picks up of the streets like interesting rocks, ear rings, cigarette butts and puts them in the spoon. He would then use some kind of clear plastic soda bottles, green for Sprite, cuts them up into little pieces and melt the plastic in the spoon to hold what ever he putted in there. Cuts of the handle and sells them for like ten bucks!!!!

Next time you're out and find someone interesting that is working on His or Her craft on the street, take your usual shots, then walk up and ask if they mind you shooting them while working. I'll bet you'll get some nice smiles, as well as some nice closeups of them and their wares. :D You might further mention the possibility of your posting these on the www, while giving them some real free advertising. ;) Since you're in an area where a lot of interesting stuff goes on in the streets, I'd bet you'd have really good luck doing that. Just a thought for a unique experiment with your street candids.

Nice! I'm more into the candid side but who wouldn't want a photo like this? I think if I do ask, I wouldn't take the shots till much later. Maybe even a different day.
Say... whats this first photo about? Very interesting...

Say... whats this first photo about? Very interesting...This is a shot taken with my old Olympus E-10 a few years back while wandering around the Rennaisance Fair here in Las Vegas. These Girls are part of a Belly Dance show, and they were wandering around as well. I asked if I could take their photo and they struck this pose while answering sure. :D See what I mean?
