Hi Everyone,
I am new to this board and this is my first post. My favorite things to photograph are horses, as you can see at this link here (http://cesstrelle.dotphoto.com/) I have been taking most of my photos for the past few years with my canon ElanII camera. For Christmas I got the new Digital Rebel and am anxious to use it on horses. Today I was going to go to a horse show, I was all excited, had my camera ready, battery charged, extra card, etc. and it turned out to be a rainy day. So, I didn't get to go. :( But, next weekend is another show and I hope the weather holds out for that.
I guess I can't just post my first post and not include a photo, huh? ;)
This is a photo taken from a local rodeo I went to a couple weeks ago. Now, I've never had good luck taking photos at this arena. It's a covered arena, at night, with artificial lighting. BUT, the rebel did pretty good. Allthough with some better tweaking of the settings I am sure I could have gotten completely frozen shots. And I did have to up the lighting/color of the photos in photoshop.
This is my favorite...
