These belong to the Chafer Famiily (Scarabaeidae). It was definitely mating season. :oops:

Lovely captures..such cute beetles :) .i am so jealous :D...not just two, but the whole family of them on an outing!!!

:lol: Thanks Kurt. This tree must of had about 30 of them in, most of them looked like they were trying to mate. I guess it was just the right time of year for them. :oops: :lol:

Great set of shots Joan - well he doesnt look to happy about it does he lol.

You dont half have some weird things where you have moved to lol and great to see such a weird and wonderful collection.
