I went out today to the local bird haunts and got absolutely nothing in 2.5 hours!
Pulling into my driveway, I shot this Downy in front of my house.

That's a lovely shot..
I have tried without luck to get a good shot of one of these fast moving little ct\ritters... they don't like to sit still..
Anyways.. lots of shots.. none good. :)

Nice shot! As CDS said, it's hard to get a good picture of them without their heads going like a jackhammer or flying off to the next tree just as you're about to snap the shutter release. Good job. Ain't serendipity great? :mrgreen: :D

To attract a woodpecker photo model, first of all you have to find the right tree. Then paint a little honey on the bark. After a few days, that will attract insects like ants. Then a day or two later the woodpeckers show up.
