What do you think as a logo, or front of a business card. Too simple?

Too simple. Don't like the font or drop shadow.
Check out www.designoutpost.com if you want a new logo, they're pretty good.

Personally, I like simple but I would drop the drop shadow. This could make for an interesting graphic, but I don't know how well it would read small as a business card. Have you printed out a sample for yourself?

I really like your first example, but I would leave off the drop shaddow.

Can you rework the first example? The graphic is visually pleasing.

I feel like there is too much gray dead space. Can you make the words bigger or something? How's that look at a small biz card size?

I like the graphic on the bottom but the placement of the text doesn't work right for me. But, it could make some pretty cool letterhead with your contact info at the top of the paper and the graphic at the bottom.
Check out the "show us your business card" thread for some ideas on placement and such. It sometimes helps to see what others have done.

Joe, keeping it simple really helps the clients. Your card is supposed to give your customers a sense about you, or your philosophy.
My business cards describe my studio as Rustic, becuase I started doing photography with LF daguerreotypes, and that is still most of my work today!

Hmm, I think you're really close on that last one. Good use of the black space too.

I'm not 100% certain, but I really do like where this has come. MUCH MUCH better in my opinion. The top part of the card is throwing me a little (I mean where your name and that horizontal line are... not sure yet.
