Hello all,

I'm considering buying a Cokin P system but I read somewhere that the P system causes vignetting in the low end on wide zoom lenses (twenty something and below).

As I want it for use with my 17-40L does anyone has had any experience with it that can give me any feedback?

cheers

I use the P stsytem with my 17-70 Sigma with no problems on a crop body. It wouldn't work on FF though.

Doubt answered, the quote must refer to FF bodies.

Thanks Martin ;)

Depends on the front filter diameter of the lens as well as its AoV. But a 17-70 on a crop's around the same as 28 on a FF. When you get down to 10-12 mm on a crop you may start running into issues with a 77 mm or wider front thread.

I use the P on FF cameras and it did cause an issue with vignetting until I cut off the front two slots on the holder (you should never stack cokins anyway) now all is well.
