A friend of mine is looking for a wedding photographer(s) in NYC for March 20, 2009. From what I understand price isn't really an issue. This is a huge wedding and the groom is a Tony award winning composer. This wedding will be featured in the New Yorker Mag also from what I gather speaking with Laurie today. Her one request is a professional mannered person for the high profile event. They will be marrying in the theatre where groom's musical runs with reception to follow in Times Square at the DoubleTree.
Please send your website links to me here and I will be forwarding them on to Laurie for her review!! Thanks so much!!!

Well, I am not New York based or even resident in the US (even though I would love to do it as a destination wedding ;-)) but I do have to mention one of my favourite wedding photographers, Jessica Claire. Her website is www.jessicaclaire.net and I guess she could to New York if clients want her to. In 2008 she was chosen as one of the top ten wedding photographers in the world!
If you wonder who I am - I am a wedding photographer from Stockholm in Sweden and I have no connection to Jessica except me being a big fan of her work. If you are interested in my work, please visit my wedding portfolio at www.lindisima.se . I suppose not many of the members at this forum speak Swedish but when visiting my web site you can at least learn one Swedish word - "bröllop" is the Swedish word for wedding :-).

We're located in Dallas, but we love destination weddings!
It's our policy not to discuss our clientelle or their guests with anyone. Each wedding is a private affair and the security of the client, their guests, and the privacy of their images is always of the utmost importance.
Please visit our website for a sampling of our work. www.TrinityPhotography.Net (http://www.TrinityPhotography.Net). Additional images are available upon request.

If money is not an issue than you really need to book one of the best wedding photographers in the United States, Clay Blackmore. He can be reached at clayblackmore.com, you won't be sorry.

April:
I work throughout the United States and the world with a wide variety of wedding clients. My weddings have ranged from intimate (bride, groom & me) to five day weddings that have taken place on two countries, on two continents and in three cities (with another multi-day, multi-country wedding coming up in October).
Outside of weddings I frequently create images of Fortune 100 CEOs and executives.
The blending of both worlds I work in might work for your friend and their wedding needs.

I recommend Bob Davis (La Storia Foto/www.lastoriafoto.net) who has done several high profile weddings, most recently noted was Eva Longoria and Tony Parker. He is sponsored by Canon. He is in the Chicago area, but is very experienced in destination weddings. Eva and Tony got married in Paris. If he is not available, another high profile wedding photographer is Mike Colo'n (www.mikecolon.com). Both have worked together doing seminars for photographers. You won't find better than these two.

Man, I guess the internet has totally taken over when the friend of the bride-to-be of a Tony award winning groom is soliciting POTN for wedding photographers! With a "money is no object" budget, I would have expected a publicist or upscale wedding coordinator to handle this. I guess I'm just old school.

This seems a tad fishy to me.Oh, please do not misunderstand. I am in no way questioning the validity of this. I'm merely commenting on how out of touch I must be.
