Battery Charging in Europe

We're going to France and Italy and we'll be bringing our s50 along for the ride. Has anyone experienced any problems charging the battery using a universal adapter?

If you have the Canon battery charger that came with your camera, charge the battery in it just as usual - it's rated for 110 - 240 volts, 50/60 Htz. The only thing you'll need is a plug adapter for the wall outlets there.
