I found this on my last hike and it was walking around on the plant like a normal insect. Weird. Looks like a dust bunny. lol

lacewing maybe. i just shooting in the dark here :D. nice find none the less.

I beleive it is some type of scale, posssibly Cottony Maple Scale, but I'm not sure. What kind of vegetation is it on?

Thanks for the comments. I wish I had shots at a better angle, but it kept going around the branch. I don't recall the plant.

quite a few larvae use muck for camouflage, not sure what type this is but nice shots.

only one im familiar with is the lacewing larvae. nice find.
i have seen a weird one before
you can see the tail end of this one also (ill remove it from here if you like)
