Got an aurora alert - they predict possible auroras in the mid and even lower latitudes, which I guess means just about anywhere north of 35 or 40 degrees north latitude. Hope some of you folks have clear skies for this. A great opportunity if it pans out. But find the darkest sky you can. Good luck! :)

Northern Minnesota, just went out and took a look see. A little more light to the north than normal, so far, already approaching -20. Fogeddaboudit

I decided to check out the website shown above (the graphic display above) and apparently auroral displays were seen in Scotland, also in Michigan, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Alaska during the past 24 hours or so. Some nice digital photos, too.
