The wolves look happy, the Redtail looks crosseyed, the otter looks wet and Scott and I look like Nanook of the North.:):):):):)

If you ask me, everybody looks like they're freezing their buns off, especially the otter and Scott. <brrrrrr>

Nah. I wasn't cold, just getting over a cold so my nose was red. It was quite balmy, Leo. We only put all that gear on so you'd think it was cold, but I don't think it dipped below 0F unless you count the wind chill.

GREAT otter shot Sheldon. That's primo.

Beautiful shots Sheldon, I love the otter, great close-up, but all are fantastic. Ian and Scott look like they are not only FROZEN in time but frozen in place also   Did you have to chip them out to get them back.

That's the first shot of an otter I've seen here, & it's GREAT! The last, of Geezerus Frozenii, would benefit by a severe crop... of the lens! :D

More Great Stuff. How did the batteries handle the Cold?
I went through 2.5 gigs (20D + 100-400 L with IS always) that day and never went for the second battery. Granted it's warm now but the battery meter still has all bars lit.

But it's highly recommended to keep a spare battery in a warm pocket just in case.

More Great Stuff. How did the batteries handle the Cold? 1 1/2 gigs with a MKII + 100-400 IS always on, same battery as Saturday with about 1/2 gig of images with a 70-200+1.4 TC, IS always on. Battery is still showing all bars. Had a spare battery in an inside pocket jut in case. Wish I had a couple of handwarmers in there too:):):)
