HELP
I have a Canon Pixma photo printer ip 4000. I just tried to print for the first time and all the images printed runny. I used JetPrintPhoto paper. The box guarantees canon printers. What am I doing wrong??

Never heard of that paper. What printer profile did you use???

just out of curiousity, did you print on the correct side of the paper? Some photo paper specifies which side to print on.

First start off using Canon Paper then judge from there. Not saying you can't use any other brand but they prefer you start with theres before trouble shooting.

make sure the paper profile matches your paper. lots of them sound the same - glossy photo paper, photo paper, etc. (as well as standard letter paper) when using the wrong paper, the printer can spit too much ink and then run.
some papers are just really crap for some printers. personally, i like using hp premium photo paper in my s9000, but they may not work well in the pixma.
as suggested, try using the Canon paper and choose the proper type of paper in the printing properties.
