Ernie's '69 Camaro RS has a 327cid motor with custom heads, Isky 3/4 cam & puts out 325bhp. It has a 3-speed 350 turbo trans pushing a 3.55 positraction rear end.
He's had it for 12 years & drives it a reduced 1,000 miles a year now.

Very nice... except there's those darn Murray's gauges again! LOL! Also surprised how small those tail pipes are...

except there's those darn Murray's gauges again! LOL! J C Whitney & every auto parts store had them. I don't remember ever seeing a Murray's back then. ;)

Thanks for the comments. Sorry I missed the motor shot.

Very nice!!!

'69 was my favorite Camaro year. That's an RS and DOESN'T have full gauges? I'd a thunk.....

When I was at Miramar, and had my '70 440 sixpack car, some friend of a friend had a NICE '69 Z28, that he always wanted to race me.

Then he bought a '70--my unfavorite year, and INSISTED I go for a ride---on base!!! He went over around the car wash,--the whole base being 25mph, and speeding pretty much a Federal crime, and decided to light 'em up. Broke the rear U joint, the rear yoke, and crapped the drive shaft right out on the street. Made a 'ELL of a lot of noise.

On the way back to the auto hobby shop--through the weeds--through a field, I glanced down in a piece of brush and THERE WAS TEN BUCKS!!!

He was very ticked that I wouldn't give it to him!!!

Broke the rear U joint, the rear yoke, and crapped the drive shaft right out on the street. :D I did that leaving a Drive In with my '53 olds. Got out of the car & a guy was walking up with my drive shaft in his hand!
