My Aquarium Trip

Here's a few of my better shots from my trip to Shedd Aquarium... Standing out in single digit weather for about an hour and a half just to get in... ugh... that was a bad idea...

I didn't realize how tough it was going to be to get the shots until I actually took a few... I've decided I need a faster lens for lowlight situations such as these... it was tough shooting at high ISO... some shots I thought would turn out good... didn't turn out so good...

All that, and the fish need to learn to slow down sometimes... :)

Wow, really like the second to last photo of the dolphin jumping, did you edit that at all? I love the way the water looks in it.

I've done no editing of the shots other than a little cropping here and there...

That dolphin shot (the second to last) was a little lucky... I happened to be pointing my camera at a ball in the water and caught the dolphin coming up under it... unfortunetly the ball was out of the shot by the time I realized that I should start snapping the photos... :)

I've got a few other shots of the dolphins I'm lookign at cropping.... when I get them done I'll post them up...

The #4 is my favorite. It's a nice action shot, but there's something about the colors that is not right. The water seems to be much more brigther than the dolphin, taking away the attention from the dolphin. I'm guessing it was a covered pool. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, it was in a covered pool area with a wall of windows directly across from me... I was also on the top most level, as far away as a person could get... that's what I get for showing up late though...

I may try doing some enhancing in PS... see if I can bring out the dolphins a little more... cause right now you're looking at an un-altered photo... I'll have to see what else I can do with it...
