The wolf in the first picture looks awfully familiar. Is it the same one that Sheldon is using as his avatar?
BTW< what kind of wolf is that? It sure looks different from the ones in the eco-museum.

The first one was a sweetheart. I'd hug him any day.
The second I'm not so sure about.
I love the brightness of the background around the second one's head. Look cool.

Excellent! I love the human vertibrae prominently featured in the second shot... that of course belonged to the last fool that tried to "hug" him ;)

The remains belong to the cousin of the guy we met at the main lodge. Seems he got out of his car (Rule #1- Never get out of your car during the ride through the site) to get a better angle for a shot and some how closed the door and locked his keys inside. Heck of a long walk back. his cousin did the same thing but thought one of the Arctic wolves had stolen the keys and went to investigate.

Great shots. Question. The paws in the second shot look a little rough. Given the cold temps, I would assume it can even get too cold for these guys. Do they have any problems or have they evolved to the extent that it is not an issue?

These guys are Artic Wolves and I have to believe that the temps we had on Saturday are mild compared to what they are used to. They are well adapted to extreme cold.

I'm running short on superlatives here, need time to re-charge. Excellent work.
