Hey,
I'm looking for a small camera bag. Something cheaper preferably (gonna be buying from BH... want to keep it under $40-50 if possible).
I will want to carry my drebel, 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5, 50mm f/1.8 and eventually a flash. I don't think I'll be using the kit lens very much... but maybe 3 lenses in a bag may make the bag too big. I'll decide to use the kit or the 35-105 when I go out I guess...
My choices so far...
Lowepro Nova Mini AW $27.95
Tamrac Velocity 6 Compact Sling Pack $29.95
Tamrac Velocity 2 Compact Messenger $32.50
So far I'm leaning towards the Velocity 2... pricey (relative to the rest). Though the Nova Mini looks cool... but smalll...
Thoughts? Would like to buy soon... I got the itch already.

Check out the Lowepro Omni Sport (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=47760) - it's very small, but quite roomy. I manage to squeeze inside my 10D with the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 attached along with two small lenses (50mm f/1.8 and Tokina 17mm). It also holds my wallet, Palm organizer, keys, CD cards and more. Sometimes I take out the wallet and one of the small lenses - this goves me a room for my 380EX flash.
If the Omni Sport is too small for you - I can recommend the Adorama Slinger bag. It's quite bigger - can hold more equipment (10D body with 3-4 additional lenses or 2-3 lenses + flash.

Have you looked at the Crumpler bags yet?
To be honest, I don't know much about them, but they were mentioned very favourably on the forum a few times.
Best regards,
Andy

Either the Micro Trekker 100 and 200 backpacks will definitely hold all of your gear and is in the price range you listed. I have both and am very happy with them. The 100 can hold my 20D w/grip + Tamron 28-75mm, 18-55mm kit lens or 50mm f/1.8, and my 580EX flash which is pretty large, so it should hold everything you listed and a flash.

Adorama Slinger.
I bought it and I keep my D30, 28-135, and 70-200mm 2.8 (which is a big one) in it. Along with all the cables, 2 memory cards, 3 extra batteries, polarize filter, battery charger, and even a plastic bag to put the whole mess in if it starts raining.
The cool thing about the Slinger is you can put one lens on the camera and have room for 2-4 more lenses or flashes in the bag depending on the set up. It has lots of options and for as small of a bag as it is, it really can hold a lot of stuff. It has nice solid snaps too, plus safety snaps on the sides so the bag wont open if you forget to snap the main clip. It also has lots of D-rings on it to attach accessory pouches and extra lens bags.
I really like it a lot.

I have Crumpler Budgie Smuggler, and it holds my 300D w/kit lens, 100-300 and 50.
It's a pretty tight fit, but it's better than things flying around inside. There's not much room for anything other than that. The front pocket has 4 elastic bands for CF cards, and a few random pockets here and there, which really can't hold anything thicker than a polarizer case (~3/4")
I went with crumpler because i can walk around town with my bag and not advertise that there's my camera inside. This bag is really really well built, too. The strap is stiff, which is nice so it won't cut into your neck, and it comes with a removable should pad. The padding inside looks fine too, but i can't really compare it to anything as this is my first and only bag.
They run a bit expensive, ~$60, though.

Hey. I was thinkin of getting a Crumpler bag, but they're much too expensive. I've got a Crippy Duck for my laptop/school bag and though it's nice, it's much too much for a poor student like me to spend.
I'm gonna go check out the Velocity 2 in person tomorrow at Henrys, then probably buy tomorrow at school (place order). I can't wait ;)
