I ran across this company who makes a generic underwater (upto 100') case that should fit the S series. I primarily use my G3 for photos and was hoping to use my older S200 as an underwater camera. However, the Canon housing is a bit expensive and this one sells for $34.99. Here's the link:

I've read good reviews on the Olympus and Kodak boards but have not read of anyone using an S series canon. Is anyone currently using this housing with their S series?

I am probably going to purchase the housing either way since it's rather cheap. I will post a review and some pics once I return from my FL trip.

I have a Canon housing for my S50 and I will be getting a housing for my S70 before the summer. The S50 housing only lacks a couple buttons, but it looks like the S70 contains all the buttons. It is really nice having as much control with the 'custom' housing. I use mine on the beach and in the water. I would also use it if it is raining. I did not buy mine from Canon I got it a whole lot cheaper, though still $100+, on the internet. I cannot recommend them enough if you want to retain control in harsh environments. The quality is outstanding. Oh, yeah, we are planning on getting a housing for my FIL. He has an Elph 210(not sure of the exact model). The inlaws are lake/beach people.

Wow, these seem very reasonably priced. I wrote the site to ask but does anyone know offhand if any of their cases will work with the SD300? Thanks for any input.

I believe they post the maximum dimensions for cameras that can fit in the case. About the only issue I see w/the S series cameras is the additional depth required when the camera is on due to the lens. I would measure the depth and compare it to what is posted on the site. I actually found a local retailer that is selling the case for about $10 more that the site. I'm considering going this route so I can bring my S200 and test it out before purchasing the case.

One more week 'till FL... hopefully I can take some underwater pics w/the case and post them.
