View Full Version : Invisible Stuff

Everyday we see some stuff, right? Boxy buildings, car clotted streets, malls pimped out in primary colors... We see that, but don't. It's hard to flip out fresh eyes on things that are so stale – things that have become invisible not so much because they're ugly. Ugly makes for evocative images. No, they're invisible because they're like spit on the sidewalk, chewing gum on a shoe sole, or grey-green linoleum on a bathroom floor. The buildings we never study through our lenses - like the scuff marks of life, huh?

Here are a few of my takes on the invisible. Got any interpretations of your own? Things that you really don't see because you always do? Cultural debris of our times?

Checked out the originals.
The treatment makes something interesting out of something, well,
bland and banal are not strong enough... maybe souless is what I'm feeling.
Care to share the techniques you used?
Thanks for sharing.
