B&W Images

Hi All,

I am new to this forum. I have been taking pictures with a digital cam for years and just decided to get more serious with it as an enthusiast. I used to be years ago before even auto-focus was available.

My question is how to set the Digital Rebel to B&W. I wish to shoot B&W shots and I can't find a reference to this setting in the manual.

I just scanned some posts here and saw a reference to converting to B&W. Is this only done in software? Is there a way to set the camera to this setting?

Any help is appreciated!

Nice link.

I've used Photoshop's image|adjustment|channel mixer to convert a few colour shots to B & W: http://milouvision.deviantart.com/

It can be quite an effective tool to experiment with.
