Very nice job. Mind sharing how many shots that used and what application you merged them with?

Sure thing.

I had widescreen mode on the 640 using 2x zoom (normal view to a human eye as opposed to the default wide angle 0xZoom. I was shooting sideways with a 30% overlap of each image. The panorama is 11 stitched images of set exposure and focus.

I shot at 1/800 so as not to blow out the sky, and recovered the detail back later using PhotoTune 20/20. The image was stitched using AutopanoPro. Once rendering was complete I took out a bit of scattered rubbish withe the clone tool, and sharpened up a little of the close grass and tree detail to enhance the DOF effect. The ISO was set at 80 and produced a little grain in the sky. This was selected in photoshop and smoothed with the Surface Blur tool which retains edge details and adds that fluffy look to the sky.

Phototune 2020 adds HDR colour range so it's best to smooth out and enhance at the last stage.

I took a second set using widescreen, 2xZoom & landscape orientation. This one is just 3 images and is located further up the path you see in the above image. This was the result.

For a 3000 pixel tall pano this is great. But for mega detail, you need the sideways technique detailed above. All images were shot though a 58mm CPL to give the sky a more rich blue. No tripod was used, just good old manual twisting of the waist. though I did have the thirds grid on for horizon and overlap guidance.
