So I decided to take some advice since my last post and shoot Av instead of Tv. I know I've missed some feet in a couple of pictures. I'm using an XTI w/ 70-200 IS L. No PP was done except for resizing. All shot wide open, 1/4000 with ISO's 800 to 1600. By all means I can use some CC

a/v is good, manual is better....my suggestion would be lowering the iso and keep the shutter speed around 1/1000...good action though

I think chris is right the AV mode can blow out your pics. You got some good action here. Your on the right track....they could be sharper....

I shot LAX for the first time last weekend, its hard at first! I shot around the 1/800-1/1250 mark with good results. With a bit of PP I think a couple of these will be fine.

Thanks for the reply's. I was playing with the ISO, when I lowered it a lot of shots seemed out of focus on the viewfinder, thats why I bumped it up, I figured I could alway's adjust the brightness.

1/1250 should be more than enough so you should have used lower ISO.
Also they seem soft to me. Did you have IS on? Also shots are quite under-exposed.
