Hi all,

Does anyone know how to delete a MAC thumbnail? its hidden, and doesn't even come up under File Buddy BUT when I put the files (copied to a flash card) into my TV to do a Wedding customer display, all the hidden thumbnail files come up then. How do i remove them??? the TV cant read them and they just wreck the display!

I have to guess what you are talking about, since you don't give much detail, but I assume the TV is hooked up to something not Mac?

How were the files saved?
a jpg should open fine on bot Mac and PC.

Sorry more detail below:

I have a Plasma TV (60" HD) that has a USB slot. I plug the card into that via a card reader and the pictures come up for a slide show. But from the MAC there are these .[filename] files that are the thumbnail files. I wanted to work out how to delete them so I can play a slideshow. Even putting it into a PC it sometimes sees both (depends on the OS).

Are you referring to the little files some thumb nail generating software generates that hold the details of the thumbnails?

What program did you use to create the slideshow, and do you know if the files are needed for the slideshow to work?

Click file.
Hit -I (Get Info from File menu).
In the upper left hand corner of the get info window, there is a thumbnail. Click it.
Hit delete.
Profit.
