Hello Gurus,
I am just curious to know that is there any book or something available which can be used as reference for taking potrait photographs?

Thans for that. Is there any thing for the Indian traditional dresses??? Like sarees and all? Because that all was for the western type of shoots. But I need poses for Indian Traditional shoot.

I do not know ... I just ran across the 'poses' pdf the other day & happened to remember it. Good luck - if you find anything, you might want to reference it here!

Great link! I've just started shooting portraits in my makeshift home studio, and this link is just the ticket. Giving posing directions is an artform in itself.

That is a great resource to have. I too have recently gotten in to the portrait/glamour mode. The wife, being my practice subject, gets very self concious in front of the camera so I have to instruct her every little step of the way. This will help, allowing her to choose which ones she likes.
Its amazing the difference shooting someone who likes to be in front of the camera, such was the case with a friend. The only speaking I did for the most part was to tell her we were changing outfits or props, but once we started it was all her, and she ran with it!
