Hey all, I was hoping that for those of you that have been in business would share with all of us newbies what forms do you use? What one do you use with clients and which ones are for the office.. I will mainly be doing on location portraits and weddings here and there later on.. I really like Seniors and children..

If you have samples you would be willing to share that would be great but I don't know if that is just to much to ask for..

I want to know what when I meet my clients before, during and after I have all the right forms and I want to know that when I am doing what needs to be done back here that I am doing all the right stuff to keep things organized..

These are some of the things that I was thinking.

Before - I just can't think of any paperwork or helpful things I would have when i meet the client. Maybe a contract/release form, sample work, ideas for clothing and such for the day of the shoot.

At the shoot, if you didn't meet the the client before hand then a contract/release form. I also bring my pose guide to help me. I hope to do online ordering but I may do in person proofing. I just don't know yet.

After - Thank you card, extra business cards to pass out to friends, payment receipt, I am thinking of getting little boxes for the prints, tissue paper, bag's with my logo and maybe a little bag with a few goodies..

I just can't think of what else to have.. Please give me some suggestions.
Thanks a ton. I know this may be a lot to ask but I just want to get this going the right way and not kill myself by doing to much or forget something.

Heather, check out the book Business and Legal Forms for Photographers. You can find it at most large bookstores and at Amazon. The book comes with a CD that has all the forms, in multiple formats, including MS Word and all can be edited. The book explains the proper use of each form. There are 31 forms and it's copublished with the ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) Surprisingly while editing, I noticed a couple of typo errors on one form I use. Don't forget to use release forms!

You might check out Photographer's Tool Kit (http://www.photographerstoolkit.com) also.

This is what I do for packaging (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=409557). I usually include a little extra as well. It could be a small print of a pic that I really liked or a nice looking frame from the dollar store.
