I had my sights on the bee ready to snap and out of nowhere ambushed. Darn a tad OOF.

Not my best efforts today. I guess I am tired from a long day at work and a hot day in the garden. 92 F /33 C

Little and green my first effort using the XSI live view with magnification to focus.

How do you block the breeze? The mint swaying ever so slightly makes for an ugly shot. But on the other hand this guy will win no beauty contests, those pink eyes!

Lovely captures- the wasp/bee shot is quite a capture. I often use my left hand to hold the plant the bug is on and then rest the lens on the same hand- mind you it does depend a bit on the focal length of the lens (shorter the better for this).

thats why imo shorter lens are better for shooting insects,in windy days its the only way to shoot,.
