View Full Version : Printing Pictures from S5

I'm finally getting some nice pics; mostly birds, frogs, turtles, etc. with my S5 at ISO 100. Problem is, when I did the "Walmart Kiosk" print thing, FujiFilm, the 4X6 inch glossy prints that I got back, while not bad, are not as sharp and clear as the pictures are when displayed in 7" X 10" on my iBook.
Pictures were taken at maximum pixel, and as far as I know, displayed that way on my computer, transferred without alteration to a 2GB flashdrive, and then downloaded from that to the kiosk.
Any idea what my problem may be?

WalMart maybe? Try taking them to a real photo store and see what they can do with them. If they're still not to your liking, post a couple, including 100% crops, here.

Jon,
Thanks for the advice. My local camera shop of preference closed down last year, but I'll find another and see how it goes. I'll let you know, though it may take a while. In the meantime I'm loving looking as the shots on the computer screen.

If you dont have a good camera store near by try MPIX http://www.mpix.com/ I also have the S5 and I use them for my prints. The prices are good and their products and service have always been excellent. Ive ordered up to a 16x20 for customers taken with the S5 and it looked great.
Sometimes for just my general stuff Ive used snapfish and they seem to be good as well and a little cheaper than MPIX but if it's something I want to make sure I get a good print of I go straight to MPIX.
