G1 Pic of My Godson

Hello, I have been shooting with the G1 for about 4 years now and I plan on purchasing a Pro1 this month. Here is a shot of my Godson on the day of his first holy communion. The girl in the photo is his cousin and she is about a head taller than he, so I sat her on a chair and had him stand. I took several shots of this pose. In a few they were both nicely smiling, but for some reason their expressions in this shot appealed to me more. Photo is taken with existing light only.

I would suggest better positioning relative to the main light source. The bright light in the background washes it out a bit. Had they been facing it the lighting might be a bit more even. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I don't seen anything great to my eyes either.

Thanks for the feedback Tim, much appreciated. Tell me, I am new to this forum. Do you have to ask for a critique in the subject line when you post here? I noticed many people do and quite a few have looked at this photo, but elected not to comment. Just curious. Again, thanks for the feedback.

Nope, in critique corner it's expected you want feedback. In this case the photo doesn't make much impact, so people might not bother to comment on it, is all. I usually try to reply to some threads with 0 replies, because i'd be annoyed if I didn't get any myself.
