Just acquired a Canon A200.
Connected to an iBook [500MHz & 10.2.1] via the USB cable.
Went into the Preferences to set Image Capture to open when a camera is connected. The alternative is to have iPhoto open.
After plugging in the USB cable to the camera and computer, then powering on the camera, Image Capture does indeed open. The camera definitely turns on in replay mode when connected through the USB cable. But then a box pops up that says "No Image Capture device connected".
Alternatively I set iPhoto to open, and when the camera power is turned on iPhoto starts. But, iPhoto says no camera is connected, and there is nothing to Import.
Is something set up incorrectly on iPhoto, Image Capture or the camera?
